Society of Insurance Financial Management Conference Panel Discussion on New Probity and Transparency Expectations and Regulations for the Industry.
The Society of Insurance Financial Management is an organization whose members include professionals serving the insurance industry in various accounting and financial positions. On March 22 the Society held its quarterly conference at the offices of Price Waterhouse Coopers, LLP in NYC. The conference presentations included an update on current healthcare issues, tax legislation and developments, target operating model design and expense reduction, an accounting update as well as a session on business analytics in insurance. The afternoon program included a panel discussion on new probity and transparency expectations and regulations for the industry. Panel members were Greg Henkin, Founder of iXchange, Rich Hersman, FTI Consulting, Inc., Nick Pearson, Edwards Wildman Palmer LLP and Bob Warren, Demotech, inc. Steve Acunto, Publisher, Insurance Advocate served as moderator facilitating panel discussion and providing each panel member an opportunity to express their respective views and experiences on the topic.
